Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Chinese Translator to accurately translate written and spoken content from Chinese to English (and vice versa) ensuring clear communication. The ideal candidate should be fluent in both languages and possess a strong understanding of grammar tone and technical terms relevant to the industry.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
l Translate documents reports emails and other materials between Chinese and English.
l Interpret spoken conversations in meetings interviews and other events as needed.
l Ensure translations maintain the original meaning tone and context.
l Review and edit translated materials for clarity accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
l Work with other departments to support bilingual communication.
l Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Qualifications and Skills:
l Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
l Proven experience in translation or interpretation (minimum 1 2 years preferred).
l Excellent grammar and writing skills in both languages.
l Knowledge of industry-specific terminology is an advantage (e.g. legal technical medical).
l Attention to detail and cultural awareness.
l Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Languages Translation Linguistics or related field is preferred.
