Job Sumary
The purpose of the job of Instrumentation technician is to contribute in an outstanding way to the safe and efficient operation of electrical and Instrument systems and equipment within the manufacturing environment. The Instrumentation Technician is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing instrumentation and control systems used in industrial processes. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical electronic and mechanical systems as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment. The job holder will ensure effective implementation and use of manufacturing excellence in delivering superior performances.
Job Responsibilities
- Install and calibrate instrumentation and control systems including sensors transmitters and controllers.
- Carry out daily and periodical inspections of machines to perform preventive maintenance and detect unusual functioning identifying maintenance issues for easy correction and to prevent downtime.
- Perform daily checks of the pre-planned maintenance schedule to ensure that the maintenance tasks are being carried out as planned and to confirm that the machines are prepared and functioning effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with instrumentation and control systems and implement corrective actions.
- Configure and program control systems including PLCs DCSs and SCADA systems.
- Collaborate with other teams such as engineering and operations to ensure instrumentation and control systems meet process requirements.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimise downtime and optimise system performance.
- Ensures the safety of self colleagues equipment materials and employees under his care and implements manufacturing excellence in the departments.
- Supervise and collaborate with external contractors to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed accurately efficiently and on schedule.
- Submit daily reports on machine status and functionality to the line manager to facilitate proper planning of maintenance activities and to ensure they are well-informed about the operational condition of the machines.
Requirements
- Years of Experience: 1 - 2 years.
- Educational Qualification: Open to all levels of educational qualification as knowledge of said field is what matters (NCE SSCE OND HND BSC).
- Industry Specific: FMCG Food & Beverage manufacturing production and packaging companies (pure water bottling and recycling companies).
- Proficiency: Experience operating and maintaining the electrical part of the machine etc.
Location: Ota Ogun state
Job Schedule: Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 pm
Job Mode: Onsite Shift Mode.
Benefits
Salary: 200000 - 250000 Net
