Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team in Gahanna United States. As the primary point of contact for patients you will play a crucial role in facilitating exceptional healthcare delivery through superior customer service administrative coordination and patient care support.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients providing a welcoming and professional environment
  • Manage patient scheduling registration and check-in/check-out processes
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers insurance companies and other medical offices to ensure seamless patient care
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for medical services
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the Electronic Medical Record system
  • Process patient information while ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
  • Organize and maintain treatment areas reception and storage spaces
  • Handle multiple phone lines and respond to patient inquiries professionally
  • Facilitate smooth daily clinic operations through effective communication with staff and patients
  • Manage administrative tasks including filing scanning and updating patient information

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year medical office receptionist experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Medical Record systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical insurance verification and authorization processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience with scheduling software and healthcare management systems
  • Proven multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain composure in fast-paced environments
  • Physical capability to perform periodic lifting pushing and pulling
  • Ability to alternate between sitting and standing for extended periods
