For the 2024-2029 cycle of the Health Services Resource Administration (HRSA) EHDI grant the COEHDI Coordinator position works closely with the COEHDI Director and principal investigators at CDHS and CDEC as well as grant contractors. The EHDI Coordinator works closely with the Colorado EHDI Alliance as well as other invested partners in the Colorado EHDI system.

Comparative Analysis Process Structured Application Review:
After minimum qualification screening which could include a skills test the comparative analysis process will involve a review and rating of all the information you submit.
Document your work experience/job duties to the extent to which you possess the skills education experience minimum qualifications and preferred qualifications:
Answer all supplemental questions (if listed) as your answers to these questions will be evaluated during this phase. Provide at least 4-8 sentences for each response to supplemental questions.

Answer the supplemental questions on the application completely and thoughtfully. Your answers may be rated based on the content of your response and your writing skills (spelling grammar and clarity of your writing).
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience Only:
Seven (7) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position. This experience should be related to early hearing detection & intervention field (e.g. hearing screening diagnosis/identification early intervention language assessments teaching research etc.); working with system partners towards addressing system gaps; establishing and maintaining relationships with families of deaf and hard of hearing individuals; identifying system gaps and how best to direct grant funding towards addressing those gaps.
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education in Deaf Education Special Education with a focus on deaf or deafblindness Audiology Speech-Language Pathology or Deaf Studies and/or relevant experienceworking in education training and experience should be related to deafblind programs including community intervener and/or support services provider or orientation & mobility programs.Specific experience in the early hearing detection & intervention field (e.g. hearing screening diagnosis/identification early intervention language assessments teaching research etc.); working with system partners towards addressing system gaps; establishing and maintaining relationships with families of deaf and hard of hearing individuals; identifying system gaps and how best to direct grant funding towards addressing those gapsequal to seven (7) years.
Relevant years of State service should be considered as a preferred qualification to be used to determine the top candidates on the referral list. (Partnership agreement 10.1.)
Conditions of Employment
In-depth knowledge of Early Hearing Detection and Intervention systems.Flexibility to be on call or adjust work schedules for business needs.Proficiency with software (word processing spreadsheets slides/presentations) meeting platforms and communication tools utilized by state agencies.
This position is designed as hybrid; employees must maintain a home office internet and phone access to required job duties or report to the office.Knowledge of the deaf hard of hearing and deafblind communities.Knowledge of applicable laws with respect to effective access to communication and/or environment.
Excellent written and expressive communication skills. Ability to interact with individuals from various backgrounds cultures communication preferences skill levels in order to provide direct and effective communication.Experience with outreach including giving presentations tabling and building professional networks.
