Davies is now hiring a Supervisor of Student Management and Culture!Qualifications-RI Building Level Administrator PK-12 Certification-Experience as an Assistant Principal or Dean responsible for school culture and student conduct-Knowledge of best practices in student attendance initiatives-Demonstrated experience working effectively with students parents and staff-Five years of successful teaching experience at the secondary level preferred-Strong command of discipline laws and regulations-Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptableEssential Duties/Responsibilities-Promote a positive and inclusive school culture by building relationships with students staff families and community partners-Ensure that systems are in place to support supervision before during and after school-Supports the schedule build-Adhere to investigatory best practices-Manage chronic absenteeism issues-Ensure the continuity of educational services for at risk students-Apply guidelines and procedures in the parent/student handbook in a consistent fair and equitable manner-Provide oversight for and ensure strong planning for vehicular traffic flow and parking on campus consult local safety officials as needed-Facilitate school safety and crisis management team-Collaborate in partnership with all Davies administrators to ensure consistency of supervisory and instructional practices-Help facilitate the reviewing and updating of the student/parent handbook-Perform other job-related duties as assignedSupervises:-Information Aide/s-School CounselorsSkills Required:-Proven leadership skills on a school-wide level-Engage in proactive communication with students staff families and community partners-Outstanding knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning-Ability to multitask and prioritize projects and initiatives-Capacity to effectively communicate with a diverse set of peopleEducational Requirements:-Masters Degree-Successful teaching experience at the secondary levelPhysical Demands:-The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
