The Department
The Alfred Health Radiation Oncology (AHRO) Department is a unit of a comprehensive cancer service provided by Alfred Health. The department is comprised of two units Alfred Radiation Oncology (ARO) located in the South Block at The Alfred and Gippsland Radiation Oncology (GRO) located at Latrobe Regional Hospital. Together the two units provide the full range of radiation oncology and radiation therapy services (with the exception of paediatrics) in addition to some specialized services with both state and national significance. There are also limited Radiation Therapy services conducted at Sale Radiation Oncology located at Central Gippsland Health.
The Role
The Deputy Operations Manager Radiation Oncology assists the Director of Radiation Oncology and Operations Manager in the operational management of Radiation Oncology Services at Alfred Health with a particular focus on operational site management at GRO. The position is primarily based at GRO however travel between the two sites may be required.
The Deputy Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager in service delivery development financial management promotion of the service quality and patient safety and infrastructure management and planning.
