Job Description
Sales Specifications Consultant
The Role:
The Sales Specifications Consultant is the go-to person for customers and Hfele Sales seeking advice for product application selection installation and adjustment for all Hfele hardware. The role is vital to the success of the Hafeles business objective of being much more than a mere distributor of quality furniture and Architectural hardware.
While the Sales Specifications Consultant will primarily interact with Hfele customers they will also be available to our entire inside and outside Sales team as needed. S/he may also be called upon to coach internal staff on an incident-by-incident basis to assure the best possible use of Hfele products.
What you will be doing:
- Support customers and inside/outside sales staff on all product and applications questions.
- Liaison between Customer Service and Category Management
- Ensure customer quotes and orders are inclusive of all product required for the application
- Collect and filter product questions to assess shortcomings in product documentation (catalog) or installation instructions and work with internal and external resources to improve this information; suggest and prepare improvements
- Over time assist the Assistant Manager in creating a solutions library to assist newer team members
- Occasional travel may be required for training and/or tradeshows
Experience you will need:
- Bachelors degree preferred OR two plus years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A back ground in the building materials industry is a big bonus
- Solid written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity in reading Blueprints CAD designs
- Able to prioritize tasks effectively for him/herself and others
- High level customer service skills
