Sr. Recordkeeping Risk Mgr, WWRK

The WW Operations Workplace Health and Safety Team is looking for a Sr. Recordkeeping Manager to help implement compliance initiatives and programs across North America (Canada and Mexico). The leader will drive the North America compliance and data integrity initiatives and will help develop and implement systems and mechanisms to audit injury and illness cases to enable accurate and compliant recordkeeping and efficient workplace practices for employees across North America within the Amazon Operations Network (i.e. Fulfillment Centers Amazon Stores Transportation Network Prime Air as well as new business ventures that remain to be seen).



Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage North America (Canada/Mexico) injury and illness recordkeeping program.
Conduct regular audits and escalation audits of injury and illness cases.
Communicate effectively to align team members with stakeholder requirements
Monitor implemented solutions to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory. requirements and its compliance within AUSTIN Incident Module.
Develop and Maintain platform to assess key policies and procedures to mitigate identified risks and to meet government industry company compliance requirements.
Review program business rules documents marketing materials and information systems to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
Strong project management skills
Responsible for analyzing relevant data writing white papers and other strategic program documentation such as Monthly Business Reviews impact analysis.
Earns trust by driving process improvements by capturing gaps and proposing developing solutions or mechanisms to bridge them.
Ability to manage newly developed projects and programs independently.
Provide training and support to the field to support injury and illness recordkeeping through WHS University written communications office hours on demand training etc.
Work with our technical partners in development and implementation of new audit mechanisms and enhancements to AUSTIN (case management system)
Work with other partners such WHS Legal Global Medical Health SLeD and WHS field teams on recordkeeping initiatives standard audit work and other projects.
Ability to travel 5-10%
Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) or other related fields
4 years of relevant experience in safety compliance and/or regulatory affairs including experience developing and implementing safety strategies and programs examples: Canadian regulations per OHS
Experience with MS Office data retrieval/mining skills using data warehouse systems
Preferred qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership and ability to work across senior levels of leadership and all levels of an organization with multiple businesses including operations legal and public policy to provide leadership and strategic planning on compliance and recordkeeping
Proven analytical writing and presentation skills
Have or working towards a PE ASP CSP or other recognized professional certification

A day in the life
Conducting audits across the provinces in Canada
Deep diving and trend analysis based on audit findings
ensuring training is provided and office hours held to improve knowledge of provincial regulatory requirements
Preparing written reports and updating MBR
Drafting impact analysis
Managing responses to case escalations or queries with GMH and/or WHS legal

- 6 years of compliance audit or risk management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- 4 years of relevant experience in safety compliance and/or regulatory affairs including experience developing and implementing safety strategies and programs. Canada provincial regulatory knowledge is highly desired.
- Bachelors Degree

- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
- Masters degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
