The Paramedic Lead is responsible to assist with day-to-day operations and ensure high-quality patient care. They support both clinical and operational functions while maintaining a collaborative and supportive team environment. The Paramedic Lead utilizes their expertise and evidenced based practice to manage unexpected and emergent situations to mitigate and treat a variety of injuries and illnesses in a prompt and professional manner. The Paramedic Lead assumes responsibility for assessing planning implementing and evaluating direct and indirect clinical care and competently function as a member of the interdisciplinary team proving patient and community centered care. The Paramedic Lead serves as an advocate for the patient and their family and intercedes on their behalf by acting as a liaison with respect to their rights and beliefs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works within a team and promote all International SOS Government Medical Services Inc. and regulatory guidelines according to their respective scopes of practice.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for staff and patients fostering open communication between clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Communicates problems involving personnel medical staff patients families and the public to the appropriate management personnel.
- Oversee food inspection services performed by trained paramedics.
- Ensures maintenance of accurate medical records.
- Applies knowledge of medical process teaching principles decision-making and problem-solving techniques.
- Provides direct patient care and performs miscellaneous role-related duties as needed.
- Participates in audits quality assurance initiatives and process improvement efforts to enhance patient care and operational efficiencies.
- Understands the complexities of culturally sensitive healthcare and willingness to work with a foreign national patient population.
- Supports the clinical excellence framework.
- Provides liaison with external agencies where required to promote chain of care continuity and professional referral/patient handover.
- Assist medical providers with medical procedures and treatments as allowed within licensed scope of work.
- Assessment and documentation of the patients vital signs chief complaint medical history prescribed medications.
- Establish observable and documentable patient goals using care plans within protocols.
- Report all changes in patients conditions to the medical provider.
- Proactively and independently administer basic care including but not limited to inserting catheters with blood specimen collection urine collection and EKGs visual acuity basic wound care changing bandages or administering intravenous medications.
- Assist patients with basic care and activities of daily living as needed.
- Provides support and education to help patients make responsible health decisions.
- Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level anticipating needed supplies.
- Restocking clinical and provider areas once supplies are received.
- Crosstrain to work within in the clinics emergency room and inpatient units.
- Participate in on-call rotation schedule as needed to assure 24 hours 7 days a week service.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity in all communications with coworkers and clients fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment that values diversity.
- Participate in mass-casualty drills twice a year and remain available for on-call coverage.
- Complete required organizational compliance education including assigned requirements that are client-specified for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications :
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong clinical skills in specific scope of practice (nursing or paramedicine).
- Has ability to provide competent comprehensive care under stressful situations.
- Has ability to recognize limitations and areas of self-development through reflection.
- Excellent communication leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment and meet demanding deadlines.
- Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience in executive level interpersonal skills and ability to work in a matrix environment.
Experience Preferred:
- Five (5) years experience in a medical care setting as a medical professional.
- Two (2) years supervisor or leadership experience.
- Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor.
Education Required:
- Associate degree or bachelors degree from an accredited program is preferred.
- Current Paramedic license in good standing.
- Experience in emergency medical services or urgent care.
- Obtain Provided American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.

- Must be able to read write and speak English to effectively communicate
- This position is unaccompanied.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- US DOS clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Must be able to relocate to Qatar.
- A valid current US passport is required. You must maintain a current passport during your stay.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
