As the Duty Airport Manager Queenstown you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day oversight and management of the airports operational performance optimizing safety the highest standards of customer experience on-time performance and financial controls. Reporting into the Airport Manager you will work closely with our Ground Service Providers to ensure strict compliance with Qantas policies and procedures with a strong emphasis on operational safety.
This is a shift-based role requiring you to work a rotational shift roster across 7 days a week including early mornings starting as early as 4am and shifts finishing as late as 11pm.
Youll have
- Extensive experience in a frontline leadership role within an operational environment.
- Either prior experience within airport operations or a passion for this space.
- Strong knowledge of operational safety frameworks.
- Proven experience leading teams or managing suppliers in a customer-facing environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to confidently engage debate and facilitate meetings.
- A data-driven mindset with a passion for analysing trends and solving complex issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- A flexible can-do attitude capable of coaching hands-on problem-solving and driving actions.
- A solid understanding of below-wing or ramp operations is beneficial.
- Experience working in a heavily regulated environment is beneficial.
