As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Global Real Estate Technology Chief Administrative Office you will join an agile team focused on enhancing designing and delivering software components for the firms innovative technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. In this position you will play a key role in implementing software solutions by participating in the design development and technical troubleshooting of various components within a technical product application or system while gaining the skills and experience needed for career growth.
Job responsibilities
- Executes standard software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of API testing using RestAssured. Write automated tests using Java in Cucumber format.
- Execute and Maintenance of Manual/Automation test scripts so that they are reused across multiple projects.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Track quality assurance metrics like defect densities and open defect counts
- Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
- Designs develops codes and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
- Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
- Gathers analyzes and draws conclusions from large diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure stable application development
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2 years applied experience
- Create detailed comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Building and Maintaining Automated test scripts using Cucumber Selenium/Webdriver Java Junit TestNG and other Java based tools.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies alsounderstand the various Testing processes and terminologies.
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Exposure to execute/set up testing environment in Cloud
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Learns and applies system processes methodologies and skills for the development of secure stable code and systems
