Are you passionate about transparency data protection and making a difference in public service
Were looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Information Access Officer to join our Governance Services team at Lancashire County Council.
What Youll Be Doing
As an Information Access Officer youll play a key role in promoting transparency accountability and the protection of personal data. Youll be responsible for managing and responding to requests under:
- Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA)
- Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR)
- UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) / Data Protection Act 2018
Youll work within a small supportive team in a large and dynamic public sector organisation where your contributions will have a real impact.
What Were Looking For
Were seeking someone who is highly organised methodical and confident in navigating complex information. Youll bring:
- Experience in a busy administrative role preferably in governance legal or compliance
- Excellent organisational analytical and time management skills
- Clear and confident communication with a commitment to discretion and good governance
- 4 GCSEs (AC) including English (or equivalent)
Ideally you will have experience working within the public sector and have a strong understanding of FOIA EIR UK GDPR and DPA 2018
