Infrastructure Services are a key component to all systems within Shawbrook. They are responsible for all underlying Servers Storage and Cloud technologies. The team is made up of Engineers Senior Engineers and a team lead working closely with all areas of the business and technology delivery teams.
As an Infrastructure Engineer you would be required to complete tasks around BAU and projects work with the team on various technologies and provide documentation and training for transitioning a project into BAU.
Responsibilities:
- Working within the IT Team to deliver various Infrastructure projects
- Liaising with various project teams/business users
- Implementation of new technology platforms using Microsoft Technologies
- Effective and proactive communication with the business and IT Teams
- Ensure training and supporting documentation is in place for handover to Service Operations
- Required to work out of hours as and when a project requires (not on a regular basis)
Qualifications :
- Previous Wintel engineering roles
- Cloud (Azure and/or AWS) (desirable)
- Excellent documentation skills
- Working within demanding and diverse user base
- Industry and regulatory awareness for banking environments (Desirable)
- Good understanding of Microsoft technologies
- VMWare
- SQL Server 2016 including high availability (Not a DBA)
