About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance System Senior Specialist to join our Assets and Digital division. In this role you will be responsible for managing and administering systems and databases on our Data Platform and other locations as required to enable data governance and data quality functions. You will be the technical expert responsible for the day-to-day running of the data governance and data quality systems within the organization. Your expertise will assist us in managing our data through cataloguing classifying and measuring data quality.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage system configuration operation and access control for data governance systems including Microsoft Purview and custom-built or other data governance and data quality tools.
  • Design develop and maintain operational analytics solutions including BI visualizations to improve business outcomes using data warehousing and analytic solutions.
  • Manage the development testing and execution of implementation plans for releases through all supported environments and maintain technical documentation for these solutions.
  • Review and analyze systems to ensure adequate performance and maintenance ensuring that data pipelines and data stores are efficient organized and reliable.

This is a fixed term opportunity for 12 months.This role can be based anywhere withinEssential Energys operational footprint with Port Macquarie being the desired location.

About You

You are a professional with demonstrated leadership qualities and substantial experience in a similar role. You have a high level of experience and knowledge of specific enterprise/corporate platforms particularly the Microsoft technology stack (Azure SQL Server Integration Services Analysis Services etc.). You are adept at data warehousing architecture modeling and development and have a strong understanding of data quality management and data governance functions. Your practical experience in designing deploying and operating complex ICT Reporting and Integration systems along with your expertise in business intelligence and reporting/analytic makes you an ideal candidate for this role.
