Purchasing Analyst (Temporary Full-Time)

Arapahoe Libraries is seeking a Purchasing Analyst (Temporary Full-Time) to streamline procurement operations strengthen data insights and refine contract documentation. You will guide staff in providing welcoming innovative and inclusive service while balancing daily purchasing needs with long-term goals. This role centers on solicitation support analytics documentation and continuous process improvement.

About the Role
As part of our central services team you will collaborate with facilities IT and administrative departments to navigate procurement requirements keep records accurate and ensure each purchase aligns with library priorities. Whether leading an RFX or organizing compliance files your steady support keeps every branch running smoothly for patrons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take primary responsibility for market research and RFX document development to support timely and effective competitive and cooperative procurements.
  • Coordinate solicitation timelines documentation and vendor communication to secure best-value awards
  • Track contracts audit renewals and maintain compliance documentation including eRate records
  • Analyze purchasing data to uncover cost-saving and optimization opportunities
  • Develop and update guidance documents and internal purchasing resources

What Youll Bring

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with an ERP or contract management system
  • Working knowledge of RFX processes state and cooperative contracts and public-sector compliance
  • Strong written and verbal communication with a collaborative yet autonomous work style
  • Excellent time-management abilities and a process-oriented mindset with high integrity
  • Talent for translating data into clear recommendations that improve purchasing outcomes

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in business public administration or a related field
  • Two years of purchasing contract administration or procurement support experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and an ERP or procurement platform

Preferred:

  • Government or public-sector purchasing experience
  • Experience with capital project procurement including FF&E purchasing
  • Familiarity with Tyler Munis or similar contract management systems
