Job Description
Overview
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator tooversee all warehouse and dock operations and maintain safety on the dock.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all warehouse and dock operations maintaining order and safety in the warehouse and dock for all items being loaded or unloaded.
- Supervise operation of forklift as necessary being sure operators observe all safety regulations. Supervise operation of scales and proper recording of weights.
- Supervise and oversee Beneficiary on Baler and all baling operations.
- Direct all incoming material to proper staging areas being sure saleable items are not thrown away.
- Oversee all personnel paid and unpaid holding staff accountable for appropriate behavior and language on dock.
- Supervise the loading and unloading of all ARC trucks and Certified Collection Center (CCC) units and loading of bale trucks.
- Give particular attention to supervising and giving guidance to beneficiaries on work therapy assignment in the warehouse and dock.
- Handle duties of Production/General Supervisor in their absence.
- This position will support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing to beneficiaries; an example of professional conduct work habits and supervision (as directed by Supervisor).
- Other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor and/or Administrator for Business.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Two (2) years transportation warehouse and/or loading dock experience.
- Drivers license preferred.
