Employment type: Full time Permanent

Hours per week: 38

Remuneration: Band 6 salary from $104133.36 per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDO

Location: Working across our Werribee Civic Centre and Hoppers Crossing Depot locations

About the role

Join our Asset Management Business Unit and make this newly created role your own.

You will drive the development and implementation of robust governance frameworks improving decision-making and accountability for asset management activities.


Ideally you will bring your past experience in ensuring alignment of asset management policies plans and practices with organisational objectives statutory requirements and industry standards to provide leadership in the governance compliance and continuous improvement of the Councils asset management practices.


What your day will look like

  • Providing strategic support across all stages of the asset lifecycle ensuring effective management from creation to disposal
  • Overseeing compliance with relevant standards and frameworks including risk identification mitigation and monitoring
  • Coordinating internal and external audit bodies including VAGO LGPRF and Finance for all statutory asset reporting
  • Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports to stakeholders supporting strategic and operational decision-making
  • Overseeing tender and contract processes to uphold probity procurement policies and asset strategy goals



What you will bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or substantial professional experience in governance asset management or a related field demonstrating a strong practical track record of successfully applying knowledge and skills in these areas. (essential)
  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence is essential. (essential)
  • Demonstrated expertise in asset governance compliance and risk management with a proven ability to implement governance frameworks across the asset lifecycle. (essential)
  • Strong understanding of asset management principles including lifecycle planning performance reporting and alignment with statutory and regulatory requirements. (essential)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex governance concepts influence stakeholders and foster collaboration. (essential)
  • Proven ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within set timeframes. (essential)
  • Proven ability to manage complex datasets ensuring data quality and alignment with organisational needs. (essential)
