Senior Officer Faculty Services
- Based at our Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus hybrid work arrangements
- Full-time and continuing
- HEW 6 $96276 - $% Superannuation (pro rata part time)
About the role:
The Senior Officer provides high quality responsive and customer focused administrative support in the day to-day operational needs of the Faculty Research team. The role will be a key contact for logistical matters including orientation and induction conference support and events relating to staff higher degree by research students (HDR) and supervisors in collaboration with Deakin Research and Innovation.
As a Senior Officer you will:
- Provide support and advice in relation to business administrative and operational issues to ensure the effective and non-duplicated use of resources in implementing the Facultys research strategy.
- Work collaboratively with key Faculty research stakeholders and the higher degree by research teams in Deakin Research and Innovation to provide seamless logistical support for all staff HDR students and Faculty Research Groups.
- Provide logistical support for all Faculty research seminars events and workshops for Faculty research groups and graduate research candidates.
- Complete a range of processing and administrative tasks in line with University procedures.
- Actively seek feedback from staff and graduate research candidates on what is working well and identifying areas for improvement.
To be successful youll have:
- A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields.
- A Degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
