We own govern and operate approximately 300 Catholic schools employ over 17000 staff and serve more than 118000 students and their families in the Archdiocese of Melbourne. This is a two-year fixed-term position.

YOUR ROLE

The Organisational Design Lead is a pivotal one focussing on operating model and organisation design within the People Stream of this complex technology program and MACS transformation program. Accountable for advising leading and developing workforce strategies and plans organisation design delivery and tracking to support the varied phases of the program lifecycle across the MACS organisation.



Description

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead Organisational Transformation: Design and implement innovative organisational structures and operating models that promote MACS values strategy effectiveness and agility.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Conduct thorough current state organisational assessments analyse complex data and develop tailored future state solutions to meet the unique needs of MACS and the transformation. Analyse current organisational structures roles business processes workflows and systems to identify areas for improvement in service delivery.
  • Provide Education Industry Consultancy: Offer strategic advice and guidance to the HR Product Manager Operating Model Product Owner and executive leaders on organisational design principles and best practices.
  • Drive New Ways of Working: Build and enable new ways of working into the organisational and operating model designs that align to MACS values and strategy.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including executive and senior leadership and external partners (within and outside of the DRI program) ensuring alignment and buy-in for transformation initiatives.
  • Project Management: Support the creation of the project plan and key activities and success measures ensuring clear deliverables and milestones. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure resources timelines and objectives are clearly defined and achieved.

ABOUT YOU

  • People leadership experience and adept at fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment and leading motivating and developing team members for a large stream of work as part of an Enterprise Transformation
  • Design and delivery of a revised operating model and associated strategic workforce plan drawing on an ecosystem of HR business finance and technology
  • Strong understanding of contemporary organisational design principles and methodologies.
  • Identifying upstream and downstream impacts of design and transformation decisions across directorate/ functional value chains
  • Translating operating model and workforce design into organisation design and implementation in collaboration with Organisation Design practitioners and People Partners
  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
