Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Divisional Program Support Officer. Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australias future.
What Youll Do
This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:
- Contribute to the development and improvement of business processes and administrative practices.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure consistency and timeliness of business operations across the division.
- Assist with general business administration functions across the division working closely with leadership teams.
- Support governance and oversight activities such as managing ministerial submissions and internal reporting.
- Provide strategic business support through the coordination of executive-level communications briefings and documentation.
What Youll Bring
- A collaborative and proactive approach to supporting senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting governance reporting and ministerial processes within Defence or a similar organisation.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills particularly in preparing executive briefings and formal documentation.
- Proven experience in strategic business or program management within a Defence SPO or Branch-level setting.
- You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
