Job Description
As the Data Engineer for Inclusive Experiences and Technology (IXT) you will be responsible for delivering the data based insights tools and processes required to deeply embed inclusion into Amazons process of building new products services and technology. The IXT strategy is to move to a Born Inclusive-mental model will require this team to provide guidance to enable Amazons product engineering user experience and science teams to easily build inclusion into everything they create. The Born Inclusive model will improve the products used by Amazon employees at scale as well as the broad and diverse customers Amazon serves around the world.
In this highly strategic individual contributor role you will work closely with cross-functional teams across Amazon to enable the delivery of transformative inclusive experiences through technology. You will be relentlessly focused on providing Amazons builders with the processes and tools that will make it effortless for teams to build truly inclusive products.

Key job responsibilities
Design and implement scalable secure data pipelines and infrastructure using AWS technologies and big data tools
Build and maintain high-performance ETL processes that handle large-scale complex datasets
Architect end-to-end analytical solutions that are highly available stable and cost-effective
Transform raw data into actionable insights through effective data modeling and integration
Implement best practices in data system creation data integrity and documentation
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- 3 years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift S3 AWS Glue EMR Kinesis FireHose Lambda and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage document or key-value stores graph databases column-family databases)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
