Position Overview

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Must be available for overtime as needed including weekends.

Join our dynamic team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Inventory Coordinator II! This role offers an outstanding opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be key in ensuring detailed inventory management and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research track and complete the release and shipping of products using various proprietary computer systems including an Inventory Management System Receiving System Daily Production Scheduler and national distributors databases (i.e. Fed Ex UPS DHL).
  • Manage and verify the receipt of in-house manufactured goods and process requests based on established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Track and receive materials from external vendors and clients using a proprietary management system.
  • Receive and issue finished materials to the In Process Inspection Department for final inspection.
  • Apply First In/First Out methodology to issue materials for distribution to all internal departments.
  • Prioritize and adjust to meet the daily inventory management tasks by using the production schedule and shifting priorities.
  • Efficiently communicate work status and changes to schedule needs raising issues appropriately to leadership.
  • Enter product and shipment data accurately and customize shipping per customer-specific requirements.
  • Destroy expired inventory per established procedures and timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional department managers and supervisors to meet company goals and objectives.

Required Skills and Proficiencies

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 year experience with Inventory Management Systems and First In/First Out Methodology (FIFO).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Efficient communication with all levels of personnel.
  • Valid NY State Drivers License (Required to Maintain Employment).
  • Must be available for overtime including weekends.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to do some light to moderate lifting of boxes and storage material averaging 30lbs.
  • Safely operate all tools and equipment including forklift trucks hand trucks and electronic scales.
  • Transport materials to and from the warehouse using company-assigned vehicle(s).

Work Environment

  • Demonstrate and promote the company vision by maintaining all work areas in an orderly fashion.
  • Conduct all activities safely and efficiently always wearing safety shoes.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $15.85$23.77.
