Secretary I (Instructional Services & Student Services SECTIOM K-4c
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Additional coursework or training in the business field preferred.
- Proficient in computer and word processing skills database and spreadsheets.
- Ability to make decisions without direct supervision.
- Demonstrate successful public relations skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to handle heavy workload and wide variety of assignments.
- Successful experience in jobs of similar capacity.
- Must successfully pass district proficiency tests
- Must be able to bend twist stoop squat and lift up to 50 lbs. in assistant student needs if needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible directly to the immediate supervising administrator.
- Responsible for performing secretarial functions necessary in the efficient operation of an office such as:
- Proficiency and accuracy in typing whether on computer or typewriter.
- Working knowledge of a variety of office equipment including but not limited to computers and scanners
- Working knowledge of computers and various programs such as Powerschool that run an efficient office system.
- Ability to work independently and to be able to make decisions without direct supervision.
- Obtains gathers and organizes particular information as needed and puts it into usable form.
- Maintains a regular filing system as well as confidential files and processes incoming correspondence as instructed.
- Places and receives telephone calls in professional and courteous manner and records messages accurately and confidentially.
- Performs any dual enrollment tasks that may be associated with the position
- Maintains a schedule of appointments and meetings using a Google calendar
- Ability to deal with the public tactfully and courteously and to work harmoniously with all other employees.
- Must be able to prioritize workload and adjust accordingly to meet the demands of the job.
- Considerable knowledge of business English Mathematics and a variety of other communications skills.
- Process and maintain CA-60s
- Support virtual summer course enrollment
- Record and report all safety drills
3. Perform other duties as assigned

and project a good public image of the School District in dealing with the community
and employee groups
