JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales initiatives across multiple hotels in the Ottawa region. Reporting directly the Director of Sales this is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team and make a national impact.
YOUR ROLE
- Develop present and negotiate proposals for group bookings and business travel clients.
- Manage and grow existing accounts while nurturing long-term client relationships.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting outside sales calls and participation in industry events trade shows and sales blitzes.
- Analyze sales reports market trends and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with the national Germain Hotels sales team to ensure consistent brand representation and maximize market presence.
- Represent Germain Hotels at trade fairs conferences and targeted sales campaigns.
- Demonstrate leadership through professionalism customer service excellence and in-depth product knowledge.
YOUR PROFILE
- Proven experience (minimum three years) in hospitality sales or a related field.
- College diploma or university degree as asset
- Strong negotiation communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for sales activities and industry events.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
- Strong proficiency in computer tools particularly Word Excel Outlook and Opera Cloud.
