Created in 2015 to align lighten and modernize infrastructure the Technology & Infrastructure (T & I) team is the backbone and the future forward arm of CBC/Radio-Canada. This role requires full-time on-site presence.
This role will be assigned to work shifts including weekends holidays and overnight.
The opportunity
Function:
Assists in achieving the CBC Radio Canadas objectives by providing specialized technical and production guidance in the Master Control facility. By undertaking the overall coordination of assigned programs areas or projects in Digital Radio and Television. Creative problem solving is required to solve operational difficulties to assess and optimize the use of resources. Work is generally performed according to accepted CBC or industry standards but there is wide latitude for independent action judgment and initiative.
Where instructions or requirements are not clear independent judgments may be necessary under severe time constraints and relevant personnel are contacted for clarification. Problems or faults are reported clearly and promptly to the relevant authority. Receives and replies to audience queries.
