Add value right away as a Data Community Manager. Youll foster a collaborative inclusive and engaged data community by providing opportunities to build relationships share best practices and elevate the analytical abilities of our decentralized analytics community. Youll also develop a deep understanding of analytics administration and product management setting you up for a long-lasting successful career with us.

How youll make a difference

  • Building the broader decentralized analytics community by building relationships with analysts and connecting analysts to collaborate on shared goals
  • Organizing events to share best practices provide technical trainings on our tech stack (Tableau Snowflake) get alignment on governance initiatives and celebrate community wins
  • Engage activate and advocate for our community of 100 distributed analysts including helping them navigate the data landscape at Specialized and provide aligned reporting
  • Seek to understand our different personas of data users seek feedback and ensure that the community feels heard and supported by our central Data & Analytics Team
  • Build trust and advocate for new ways of working by through deep understanding of the business and our partners
  • Manage our analytics tech stack including Tableau administration governance and access
  • Facilitate and promote Agile/Scrum ways of working on the central Data & Analytics team and advocate for similar ways of working for our distributed analytics teams

What you need to win

  • BA/BS in information technology statistics mathematics science or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience working with data and increasing levels of responsibility is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with groups of users spread across an organization including building strong interpersonal relationships
  • Experience developing influence without authority including the ability to inspire adoption of data best practices and tools across diverse teams even without direct reporting lines
  • Deep understanding of modern data analytics technologies and best practices including the ability to analyze data identify trends and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strategic thinking and planning abilities to align community needs with a plan to close gaps
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize projects stay on track and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a bias for action to escalate issues to relevant teams
  • Data and SQL fluency including a working knowledge of databases and data theory
  • Expertise in BI/Visualization tools - Tableau Snowflake PowerBI etc.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices

PAY

Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:

California Base Pay Range: ($71439- $135875)

*At Specialized your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience skills certification and location.
