Job Description
Reclatam is seeking a dedicated and motivated Immigration Legal Assistant who is fluent in Nepali (spoken and written) to join the team of one of our U.S.-based immigration law firm clients. This position is ideal for someone with 12 years of asylum experience though training is available for the right candidate.
The firm has a strong and growing removal defense and asylum practice and more senior opportunities may be available for candidates with deeper experience in these areas.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys and legal staff with asylum case preparation and filings

Communicate effectively with Nepali-speaking clients

Translate and draft documents as needed (NepaliEnglish and vice versa)

Support removal defense and other immigration-related matters

Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and client records
Qualifications:

Fluency in Nepali (written and verbal) is required

1-2 years of experience in asylum or immigration law preferred

Strong communication and organizational skills

Willingness to learn and grow within the role

Prior experience in removal defense is a plus
