Typical Duties

  • Provide administrative support for clinical services so that patients are seen promptly and the clinic operates smoothly.
  • Schedule practitioners utilizing Pyramed software ensuring appointments are scheduled accurately.
  • Maintain a patient appointment system and manage walk-ins.
  • Answer phones schedule appointments register patients by verifying eligibility and reviewing patient information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Manage daily clinic schedule and room assignments to ensure proper clinic coverage and organization.
  • Monitor fiscal operations.
  • Organize medical records to ensure completeness and availability of the records
Qualifications

Typical Education and Experience

  • Medical business office skills such as patient and clinician management medical records management and fiscal operations are necessary.
  • Working knowledge of basic bookkeeping is necessary.
  • Excellent professional customer service is a must.
  • High School diploma and at least two years experience in business office experience.
  • Experience in a business office in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.

Preferred Hiring Standards

  • Experience in a medical office setting with experience using electronic health record systems.
