Requirements:
- At least 1 year of Training/ IP Coding experience or relevant expertise
- Training experience is highly preferred
Shift schedule:
- Flexible to work on shifting schedule if business asks (weekends night shift holidays)
Responsibilities:
- Inpatient Coding:
- Reviewing and analyzing inpatient medical records to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with coding guidelines regulations and payer requirements.
- Maintaining high accuracy and productivity standards in coding practices.
- Training and Development:
- Developing and delivering training materials and programs for inpatient coders.
- Conducting training sessions on coding guidelines regulations and software.
- Mentoring and providing guidance to junior coders.
- Staying up-to-date on coding updates and changes and incorporating them into training.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborating with other departments such as HIM clinical staff and billing to ensure accurate coding and billing processes.
- Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding coding-related issues.
