Provides vision and leadership in the planning development implementation and maintenance of information technology initiatives
Analyze current technology infrastructure and align it with the strategic plans
Take part in strategic planning policy and procedure development with emphasis in the area of technology
Directs the establishment and administration of IT security standards protocols processes disaster recovery programs and plans. Ensures that established system reliability backup and recovery standards are met
Ensures that the IT network architectures meet standards and operational requirements
Manage and direct the development implementation and evaluation of diverse IT projects plans processes systems and procedures to achieve both departmental and business goals objectives and performance measures consistent with the quality ethics and stake holder expectations.
Ensures IT department will be governing through policies procedures and set frameworks
Analyze the costs value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions
Ensures the companys data remains secure by keeping up to date on the latest cyber security threats and finds ways to guard against them on an organization-wide scale
Coaches members of the IT teams particularly IT leaders so everyone stays on the same page across the company
Communicates with other executive members to make sure all parts of the company use technology in the best ways possible.
Reviews vendor proposals and makes decisions based on things such as price what they offer and how the vendor product may fit into the organization.
Experience required
Minimum 7 years experience in a Senior IT management position of which 4 years as the department lead for information technology preferably at medium to large organization/s building and managing integrated distributed connected systems & technology.
Proven experience as Head of IT or similar managerial role
Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
Solid understanding of data analysis budgeting and business operations
Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
A strong strategic and business mindset
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
Masters Degree in Business administration MSc in IT Fellow membership from a Recognized IT professional body Chartered IT professional
