Your Team Responsibilities
Enterprise Quality & Operations is a function that manages the cross-functional and company-level Quality Center of Excellence. It is composed of experienced professionalswith various backgrounds in technology and data operationsthat provide specific services and solutions toimprove MSCIs operational quality and advanceitsmaturity Managementis one keyquality frameworkpillarthatthe team supports.
The Controls Management teamprimarily facilitates oversight and testing of regulation-related controlsas well as non-regulatory responsible fordeveloping a comprehensive frameworkthatincludes setting coreobjectivesidentifyingkey workstreamsestablishingmeasurable success KPIs and assigning clear ownership responsibilities particularly in the Control Management Quality Pillar. Its members have more than 50 years of combinedexpertisein IT audit and data this team is present in the following locations: Manila Pune Mexico City and New York.
The IT ControlsManagement Specialistis a person who primarily enables this team to perform internal management testing through automation frameworks. This role also engages and collaborates with various stakeholders involved in designing implementing and assessing MSCIs internalregulatory and non-regulatorycontrols. The primary focus of this individual contributor is to design and execute internal controls testing by using modern technologies such as Python scripting and AI-driven analytics. A background or strong interest in IT general controls and internal audit is highly beneficial as it supports deeper insights into risk areas and strengthens the overall control environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and implement engineering solutions to assess effectiveness of internal controls and address complex control validation challenges.
- Design and execute automation frameworks (distinct from traditional Selenium-based programs) to validate if controls are implemented as how it is intended.
- Support the design and implementation of various data and technology internal control frameworks to ensure teams are implementing their IT-related controls to meet both regulatory and non-regulatory requirements. These include but not limited to the SOX program Sustainability & Climate standards Benchmark Administration regulations and standards business processes IT generalcontrols (ITGCs)IT application controls etc.
- Build relationships and collaborate with control owners Internal Audit external audit and other relevant stakeholders throughout the annual planning scoping control execution testing and issue management activities.
- Perform assessments toidentifypotential weaknesses in internal controls through management testing ofITcontrols.
- Assistin developing mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
- Assistin ensuring continuous compliance with certain regulatory requirements and international standards.
- Identifyopportunities to integrate internal controls into business processes.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and changes to both regulatory and non-regulatory requirements.
- Support special projects such as process integrations and technology transformation initiatives.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
- 5years of experience in quality engineering preferably in the financial services industry.
- Hands on experience of day-to-day development of data critical applications.
- Proficiency in coding with Python. Experience in Java is a plus.
- Strong analytical problem-solving communication organizational presentation negotiation and time management skills.
- Diligent relentless and persistent in coordinating with counterparts from other teamsanddepartments in another region or time zone.
- Effective relationship building with partners in technology and data operations toaccomplishcritical goals.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tightshort-term deadlines.
- Experience as an information technology professional (technology audit experience a plus)
- Knowledge of user access change management software development system architecture databases and operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of applicationsandexperience with the use of a variety of applications such as auditing toolsServiceNow Salesforce SAP and/or Workday is an advantage.
