smartdept. is searching for a Social Media Content and Channel Specialist for a healthcare technology client located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The ideal candidate will come with 5 or more years of experience. This is a project-based onsite 12-month contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension.
The Social Media Content and Channel Specialist will join a global brand and creative team helping to shape and execute social media strategies and content that showcase the clients unique value. This role focuses on building brand presence community engagement and delivering measurable business impact through social channels.
What Youll Do:
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overall marketing and brand goals
- Create and manage editorial calendars including campaign timelines and post schedules across platforms such as LinkedIn Meta X and YouTube
- Use analytics to assess content performance audience behavior and engagement trends
- Build and manage a global community management function brand voice and engagement model
- Monitor posts from key opinion leaders and coordinate with regional marketing teams as needed
What Youll Need:
- Bachelors degree in marketing communications or related field preferred
- 5 or more years of progressive experience in social media content creation for a brand or agency ideally in a regulated industry (medical device experience preferred)
- Portfolio showcasing content strategy and execution
- 3 or more years working with data and analytics including strong skills in Excel and the ability to turn insights into action (experience with Google Analytics 4 Python R or Sprinklr is a plus)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with design and SaaS tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud HootSuite Sprinklr or Sprout
- Exceptional writing editing and storytelling skills tailored for different platforms and audiences
- Experience negotiating and creating process workflows in Jira and Agile or Scrum environments
- Ability to pivot between long-term projects and urgent needs
- Eagerness to learn about complex medical systems and the needs of healthcare professionals
- Ability to travel up to 15 percent
