IP ParalegalWhat does a successful IP Paralegal do
A successful IP Paralegal at Fiserv is integral to handling all Intellectual Property matters including trademark and patent prosecution tasks. This role involves efficient intake and docketing and working closely with our VP of Litigation in-house IP counsel and Global Brand teams to ensure smooth administration of IP requests. The IP Paralegal thrives in a dynamic environment coordinating across teams to support Fiservs innovative and diverse IP portfolio.
What you will do:
- Intake and docket trademark and patent matters handling aspects of prosecution.
- Conduct trademark clearance searches and summarize search results.
- Handle trademark renewals including obtaining and clearing appropriate specimens.
- Assist with IP infringement analysis and resulting litigation.
- Manage patent renewals and maintenance fees.
- Collaborate across teams to identify related matters business contacts and research tools.
- Use and maintain electronic case management tools and databases.
- Perform program and file management special projects analyses research and reports.
- Build and maintain electronic shared file rooms or databases.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelors degree or Paralegal certification preferred.
- 4 years of relevant experience in IP law.
- Experience in trademark and patent prosecution.
- Experience with electronic case management systems.
- Experience conducting trademark clearance searches.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office software.
What would be great to have:
- 10 years of experience in analyzing IP infringement and litigation.
- Experience in handling complex IP renewals and maintenance decisions.

- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
