This is a 1st shift position: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Overall Summary

As Manufacturing Engineering Technician you will assist in the validation of new manufacturing processes. You will also analyzes and optimizes existing manufacturing processes. These processes include but are not limited to Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machining manual machining casting and metal finishing. You will also use engineering drawings and CAD models to write and modify CNC programs. You will be expected to have the ability to diagnose problems with manufacturing processes and implement the necessary corrections. You will be directed by an Engineer who is responsible for the entire manufacturing process.

Your duties will include:

  • Assist Engineers with the set up and prove out of CNC programs and equipment.
  • Help with the design and manufacturing of fixtures.
  • Assist operators and trouble shoot manufacturing process issues.
  • Work with Engineers in programming new and existing products.
  • Work with multiple groups in an effort to help streamline any manufacturing process issues.

About You

We might be a great match if you have:

Knowledge related to CAD/CAM such as; Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing blueprint reading CNC programming statistical process control and machining are desirable but not required.

YOUR EDUCATION

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred: Technical School Training

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years as a CNC machinist and with senior machinist level experience

Visual acuity requirements apply to the role including peripheral color and depth perception.

For internal reference this position is a level H8.
