Job Summary:

The Human Resource Coordinator will work in a team environment to support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. The goal of Human Resources is to help strengthen our culture through support and care of our biggest asset our people. The Human Resource Coordinator will handle a variety of administrative tasks including HR transactions recruitment support payroll processing assistance and general HR support to support smooth and efficient business operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR database.
  • Assists employees through all phases of employment to include completing hire in system updating status changes and off-boarding.
  • Assists with payroll administrative tasks as needed.
  • Provides administrative support to recruiting team to include contacting references.
  • Handles administrative tasks related to benefits enrollment and leave tracking.
  • Serves as point of contact for basic employee inquiries regarding HR policies procedures and benefits.
  • Ensures compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies.
  • Participates in mock surveys as appropriate to help maintain compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Partners with operations on employee engagement.
  • Responsible for completing employee eligibility verifications and unemployment claims upon request.
  • Runs DMV reports for all driving positions ensuring compliance.
  • Manages our learning management system assigning required classes and keeping the system up to date.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational prioritization and attention to detail skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Awareness of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office specifically Excel as well as proven ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field required or equivalent experience.
