A day in the Life:
- Calibrate adjust and maintain a variety of measuring instruments to strict standards.
- Prepare and manage calibration data reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with customers vendors and management to resolve issues and ensure quality.
Keys to Success:
To be successful in this role you must be ambitious have a proven track record in calibration and demonstrate outstanding problem-solving skills.
Education
- A University or Community College degree in a scientific field with laboratory experience or 5 years of work experience in a technology-related field.
Experience
- Broad range of scientific laboratory experience.
- Experience with various computer systems for data analysis.
- Proven independent work experience.
- Demonstrated customer skills.
- Direct calibration experience in handling calibrating or maintaining equipment in a regulated environment.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Capable of self-management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Primarily works in a Metrology Lab and office environment.
- Potential for extended periods of sitting and repetitive work.
- May need to lift 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment.
- Personal protective equipment including lab coats coveralls and safety glasses may be required.
