Calibration Technician
Full Time
Indianapolis IN
Compensation DOE: Up to $28/hr.
As a Calibration Technician you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of testing and measurement equipment used in production. Youll perform calibrations traceable to NIST and SI standards document results and support equipment maintenance and troubleshooting across a variety of physical and dimensional systems.
Calibration Technician Key Responsibilities:
Perform equipment calibrations in accordance with NIST and SI traceability standards
Use technical documentation to develop and revise calibration procedures
Troubleshoot inspect and adjust or repair measuring devices and systems
Maintain accurate calibration records in the tracking database
Issue Out of Tolerance (OOT) or Non-Conformance (NC) reports as needed
Coordinate with third-party service providers for instrument repairs
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians
Ensure all work complies with internal quality procedures and work instructions
Calibration Technician Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a calibration or metrology role
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong knowledge of calibration principles measurement uncertainty and traceability
Familiarity with English and Metric systems and the ability to perform conversions
Proficiency in interpreting blueprints technical manuals and calibration standards
