Associate | Medical Negligence (Sydney)

The role

We have a wonderful opportunity for an Associate with 4 years PAE to join our Plaintiff team in our Sydney office on a permanent full-time basis. You will be part of a dynamic and growing team with direct Principal access and the opportunity to quickly develop your skills. Core duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Providing advice to clients on personal injury cases;
• Individual case management of plaintiff personal injury matters;
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as pleadings affidavits and statements of claim;
• Regular communication with clients and other stakeholders; and
• Assisting in divisional marketing and business development activities.

Who we are seeking

The successful applicant will ideally possess the following:

• 4 years post admission experience;
• Previous experience working on a variety of personal injuries cases (potentially including medical negligence claims and/or motor vehicle claims). Plaintiff experience will be highly regarded although not essential;
• Ability to run files with minimum supervision;
• Strong relationship building customer service and communication skills;
• Strong time management and organisational skills together with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities simultaneously; and
• Prior experience with high value catastrophic claims is highly advantageous.
