Job Description

The role

We have a wonderful opportunity for an Associate with 4 years PAE to join our Plaintiff team in our Sydney office on a permanent full-time basis. You will be part of a dynamic and growing team with direct Principal access and the opportunity to quickly develop your skills. Our law firm has a strong reputation for providing high-quality legal services to our clients and we are looking for an individual who shares our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.

Core duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Providing advice to clients on personal injury cases;
  • Individual case management of plaintiff personal injury matters;
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as pleadings affidavits and statements of claim;
  • Regular communication with clients and other stakeholders; and
  • Assisting in divisional marketing and business development activities.

Who we are seeking

The successful applicant will ideally possess the following:

  • 4 years post admission experience;
  • Previous experience working on a variety of personal injuries cases (potentially including medical negligence claims and/or motor vehicle claims). Plaintiff experience will be highly regarded although not essential;
  • Ability to run files with minimum supervision;
  • Strong relationship building customer service and communication skills;
  • Strong time management and organisational skills together with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities simultaneously; and
  • Prior experience with high value catastrophic claims is highly advantageous.
