Salary: 32490 - 36870 per annum

Grade: D

Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2026

37 Hours per week

The role involves providing a range of high qualityuniversal and targeted family services that meets the needs of families. Involving parents/carers in their childrens learning and supporting parents to access the whole range of Family Hub services are integral aspects of the role.

Key Experience and Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both young children and their parents/carers.
  • Ability to work and liaise with a variety of agencies.
  • Ability to work with members of the local community.
  • Ability to plan deliver and evaluate a range of services for families and their children.
  • Ability to identify targets areas and implement appropriate interventions under the direction of the Family Hub manager.
  • Ability to be flexible to work across borough where the service need requires and to cover for holidays sickness and other requirements.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high standard of childcare practice in order to act as a role model for developing parenting skills.
  • Ability to keep concise accurate case notes and to prepare reports for reviews case conferences or other requests.
  • A valid full UK driving licence and use of a car to travel across the borough.
  • Experience of planning age appropriate activities.
  • Experience of supporting parents in childrens learning.
  • Experience of supporting developing and encouraging people.
  • Experience of working with targeted families.

Qualifications essential to the role -

Child Care qualification equal to NVQ Level 3

An Enhanced level Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check with Childrens Barred List is required for this post.
