Job Description:
Requirements:
- 1 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or recent graduate from trade school program
- Ability to troubleshoot diesel engines with diagnostic tools (provided by client) such as hydraulic pressure gauges electrical testers diese diagnostic software
- High school diploma
- Basic understanding of electrical schematics and blueprints
- Must wear PPE

- Morning Briefing & Work Orders
- Review daily assignments and service tickets.
- Coordinate with supervisors or engineers on custom builds or repairs.
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting
- Use diagnostic tools to assess diesel engines hydraulic systems and electrical components.
- Identify issues with tractive effort systems braking or ShuttleLaunch technology (used in their Commander NXT models 1).
- Mechanical Repairs & Maintenance
- Perform engine repairs fluid changes and component replacements.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic lifts couplers and rubber tire systems used for rail traction.
- Assembly & Customization
- Assemble new Shuttlewagon units including installing diesel engines control systems and rail gear.
- Customize units for clients with specific towing capacities (up to 6000 tons in Navigator models 1).
- Testing & Quality Control
- Conduct operational tests on completed units.
- Road test or rail test units to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Log repairs parts used and time spent on each task.
- Communicate with parts departments and update service records.
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow OSHA and company-specific safety protocols.
- Handle hazardous materials (fluids batteries) according to regulations.
