Job Description

Position Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all maintenance activities of all printer fabrication manufacturing sewing support and related equipment and for maintenance and upkeep of facility and buildings. This role performs and/or oversees all maintenance activities for all locations.
The right fit for this role is a person looking to perform hands-on maintenance in a challenging and fast-paced environment. This person enjoys and desires to: (1) work in a high-tempo entrepreneurial environment across multiple facilities; (2) have a hands-on role diagnosing fixing and maintaining different types of assets; (3) take responsibility in creating an enterprise-wide maintenance plan and executing it; and (4) be the subject matter expert as it relates to maintenance activities of all Company assets. This is not a hands-off observe check and approve role.
Essential Job Functions
  • Maintenance of equipment:
    • Ensure all equipment is in good and capable working order at all times.
    • Perform all PM and repair maintenance actions correctly and on timeline.
    • Ensure machine software are up-to-date and if not brief appropriate manager on risks and consequences of performing a software update.
    • Schedule appropriate machine downtime for maintenance & equipment rebuilds.
    • Conduct periodic maintenance reviews of all assets and report as directed.
    • Successfully complete maintenance training and pass competency exams provided by equipment manufacturers.
  • Equipment expertise:
    • Complete and up-to-date knowledge of all machine and equipment maintenance procedures documentation software versions/updates and best practices.
  • Standardization:
    • Develop PM programs for all equipment plant building and facility assets.
    • Develop and catalog all repair maintenance procedures.
    • Catalog and retain all maintenance and PM records.
    • Develop and standardize consumable parts and tooling ordering schedules and forward-looking replenishment plans of action.
    • Develop and track maintenance performance metrics.
  • Outside vendor management:
    • Maintain direct relationships with OEM vendors and machine service providers.
    • Evaluate all outside maintenance contractors for service maintenance.
  • Personnel training and mentoring:
    • Develop mentor and train equipment and machine operators in the performance of daily and routine maintenance functions.
    • Document all maintenance procedures in written and video format.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Education and Experience
  • Required
    • 5-years direct and progressive experience maintaining CNC equipment.
    • Ability to learn all maintenance functions and procedures on our equipment.
    • Ability to perform all physical activities related to all maintenance actions.
    • Ability to work long hours as required to maintain uptime for critical manufacturing equipment
    • Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office; Excel Word and Outlook.
    • Demonstrated team player and multi-tasker with high attention to detail.
    • Thorough understanding of OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Preferred
  • Experience with digital printers and dye sublimation processes.
  • Experience with automation controls and programming of PLCs
  • Experience with laser cutting equipment.
  • Experience with CNC milling and cutting machines.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software packages.
  • Experience using a CMMS.
  • Four-year university/college degree.
  • Experience with manufacturing automation and software integration.
  • Track record of success in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Work Conditions
  • Extended hours (or ability to work irregular hours overtime or any shift including weekends) may be required year-round.
  • Moderate (less than 30%) travel expected.
  • This is a high-tempo entrepreneurial environment.
Pay rate will be based on experience level.
