About the job
Were looking for a Data Engineer to join our Commercial Business Unit and support the Opera Ads product. This is a brand-new role in a well-established data science team offering the unique opportunity to shape a new initiative from day one. Youll work closely with our ADX Engineering Team to ensure data pipelines run smoothly.
Youll dive into a large-scale advertising ecosystem and collaborate with global teams including potential travel to China for in-person knowledge sharing. If you enjoy working with open-source tools optimizing infrastructure and being part of impactful projects this is the role for you.
Role & Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth execution of offline data jobs and troubleshoot anomalies
Contribute to developing scripts for data cleaning export backups and reports
Support internal stakeholders (AM/Operations) with data-related requests
Job Requirements:
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
Strong command of Python Bash SQL and Hadoop
Experience with at least three of the following: Hive Spark Flink Kafka Flume
Experience with workflow management tools
Excellent communication skills openness and a proactive mindset
An Ideal Candidates Profile:
Familiarity with Java/Scala or ClickHouse is a plus
