Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel
Job Location: Amsterdam Netherlands
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing professional legal advice to senior management board members and business units regarding the Companys obligations rights risks and privileges.
- Reviewing supplier and customer agreements/contracts especially related to logistics and customs clearance.
- Managing the legal affairs of holding companies including the establishment and dissolution of subsidiaries.
- Collaborating with departments such as HR Admin Finance Operations Marketing and others to ensure legal compliance in all projects.
- Supporting internal teams to enforce corporate procedures and policies.
- Monitoring and summarizing legislation relevant to the business and communicating key updates.
- Managing or supporting dispute resolution and litigation processes.
- Assisting the Tax and Finance departments during audits or tax inspections.
- Coordinating with external law firms for legal projects and litigation matters.
- Translating legal documents and legislation when required.
- Providing labor law support to the HR department including procedures and compliance.
- Delivering internal training on new and updated legislation.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer in EU with minimum 3- 5 years post qualified experiences in reputable legal practices
- University Degree in Law (LLB/LLM)
- Good command of English (listening speaking & writing) and Dutch
- A basic understanding of EU law and Strong knowledge of Dutch Civil Code Company Law Labor laws and relevant litigation experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and crisis management abilities.
- Highly organized with the ability to work in a structured and autonomous manner.
- Confident in delivering legal presentations and internal training.
- Comfortable coordinating with external partners (e.g. law firms regulators).
- Strong networking and influencing skills.
