General Manager in Newcastle - Brand New Premium Gym Opening
bonus (OTE up to 55k)

Love Recruitment is thrilled to be working with one of the most exciting new gym openings in the UK fitness scene. Set just off the iconic Tyne Bridge this beautifully designed gym blends premium facilities with a high-performance atmosphere. Think stunning gym floor full class offering steam and sauna and a space thats built for busy professionals who train with intent.
This is a very hands-on management role within the fitness industry and encompasses many areas that can be covered in more detail when you connect with one of our fitness recruitment team. However the key responsibilities are:
- Own the pre-sale strategy and drive membership growth from the ground up
- Lead coach and inspire your team across both operations and commercial delivery
- Manage club P&L and hit performance metrics with full autonomy
- Deliver an exceptional member experience from day one
- Get hands-on where needed including teaching classes if youre Level 3 qualified
What are we looking for
For you to be successful for this role and what we are looking for are clear. Firstly you will read the above key requirements and be excited. Secondly a successful candidate for these jobs in fitness typically has:
- Proven GM experience in a residential or boutique gym setting
- Strong commercial fitness background sales lead gen and conversion are second nature
- You know how to build and scale a high-performing team
- Youre results-driven people-first and never just ticking a compliance box
- You must be Level 3 PT qualified youre confident stepping onto the gym floor when needed
- You will have energy personality and ambition for this fitness job. Skillset is vital but this company also recruit the person sat in front of them meaning personality and character go a long way.
