Job Description

Respiratory Therapist/ICU Permanent Role
  • Location: College Station TX 77845
  • Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
  • Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions:
  • Perform and direct respiratory care services including oxygen and aerosol therapy
  • Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation in emergency situations
  • Collaborate with physicians and the care team to implement respiratory care plans
  • Comply with infection control isolation HIPAA attendance and social media policies
  • Deliver care professionally and compassionately to support a positive work environment
  • Seek opportunities to grow professionally and enhance technical skills
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives in clinical care
  • Identify and share opportunities to improve patient outcomes
Key Success Factors:
  • General knowledge of respiratory care modalities therapies equipment and medications
  • Ability to read write and follow clinical protocols and flow charts
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • General computer skills including data entry electronic medical documentation and email
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate degree or at least 2 years of work experience above the minimum requirements.

Experience:

  • Less than 1 year of relevant experience is acceptable.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 30 days of hire or transfer).
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care.
