Job Description
Location: Temple TX 76502
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and prioritize patient and family needs
- Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans
- Modify care plans to meet changing patient conditions and achieve positive outcomes
- Build therapeutic and professional relationships with patients and families
- Provide patient and family education assessing and documenting their learning needs regularly
- Collaborate with colleagues physicians and the community to coordinate care
- Delegate tasks appropriately and follow up to ensure completion
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving strategies to address patient family and staff concerns
- Recognize own limitations and prioritize patient safety effectiveness and efficiency in care delivery
- Contribute to team success recognize the contributions of others and commit to professional development
- Support peer development and demonstrate a commitment to community service
- In-depth knowledge of nursing practice standards patient care procedures and applicable laws and guidelines
- Familiarity with hospital rules regulations and clinical procedures
- Proficiency in medical terminology disease prevention health management common medications and side effects
- Respect for nursing ethics and patient privacy rights
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and social skills to work with a diverse population
- Critical thinking and advanced problem-solving abilities
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office electronic medical records and hospital scheduling/payroll systems
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- RN license (active and in good standing)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
