Job Description

RN Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Permanent Role

Location: Temple TX 76502
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience

Essential Functions:
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and prioritize patient and family needs
  • Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Modify care plans to meet changing patient conditions and achieve positive outcomes
  • Build therapeutic and professional relationships with patients and families
  • Provide patient and family education assessing and documenting their learning needs regularly
  • Collaborate with colleagues physicians and the community to coordinate care
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and follow up to ensure completion
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving strategies to address patient family and staff concerns
  • Recognize own limitations and prioritize patient safety effectiveness and efficiency in care delivery
  • Contribute to team success recognize the contributions of others and commit to professional development
  • Support peer development and demonstrate a commitment to community service
Key Success Factors:
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing practice standards patient care procedures and applicable laws and guidelines
  • Familiarity with hospital rules regulations and clinical procedures
  • Proficiency in medical terminology disease prevention health management common medications and side effects
  • Respect for nursing ethics and patient privacy rights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and social skills to work with a diverse population
  • Critical thinking and advanced problem-solving abilities
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office electronic medical records and hospital scheduling/payroll systems
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • RN license (active and in good standing)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
