We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Imaging Scientist at Scientist I level to join our Immunology Department.
The successful candidate with a demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment will work to develop and support small animal imaging projects in Immunology.
We work at the interface between engineering and biology and the successful applicant will work hands-on with optical and SPECT/CT platforms as well as microscopy instruments and play a key role in optimizing and implementing multiplexed imaging protocols.
This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in in vivo and ex vivo imaging techniques who is eager to contribute to the development and application of multi-modal imaging technologies to provide information to enable strategic decisions for Immunology portfolio.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree with 5 years of experience or masters degree with 2 years of experience in Biomedical Imaging Biology Pharmaceutical Sciences or related fields.
Performs nuclear and optical imaging studies involving mainly but not limited to rodent models of disease or ex vivo samples.
Develops optimizes and implements nuclear imaging (SPECT/CT and radiometric assays) and optical (BLI/FLI) image acquisition and analysis protocols tailored to each study.
Performs ex vivo procedures such as tissue fixation sectioning histology and optical microscopy.
Experience with animal handling; injections anaesthesia drug administration and necropsy.
In addition to educational requirement minimum 2 years of experience in preclinical animal (rodent) imaging research with focus on optical and nuclear pre-clinical imaging acquisition and analysis.
Working with hazardous chemical biological or radiological materials.
Knowledge and understanding of statistical analysis.
