Job Title: Social Media Manager Media & Content Strategy
Location: Remote (Preference for candidates in South America Latin America or the Philippines)
Hours: EST timezone overlap required (some flexibility post-training)

Our mission is to inform engage and spark meaningful conversation through bold content and sharp storytelling. We re looking for a Social Media Manager who understands how to translate platform-specific strategies into real audience growth and engagement.
Role Overview:
This is not your typical social media role. You ll work across two primary content areas: financial and news properties taking media (streaming shows podcast segments video clips) and turning it into high-performing platform-native content. You ll manage everything from pulling quotes and writing captions to creating reels carousels threads and short-form videos tailored to each social platform. If you ve worked in media whether for a podcast thought leader or media brand and know how to build momentum around content we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and execute daily social media content for our financial and news verticals
Repurpose long-form video content into short platform-optimized formats (reels shorts carousels quotes)
Write compelling copy tweets captions and social storytelling that reflect our brand voice and tone
Tailor content by platform:
Instagram Carousels Reels Stories
LinkedIn Article-style posts video highlights
X (Twitter) Threads quote cards pithy takes
Facebook Key quotes engaging questions discussion-driven posts
TikTok 12 15 sec shorts or trend-adapted takes
Use tools like Canva Photoshop/Illustrator and CapCut (or similar) for basic design and editing
Create templates and repeatable formats to scale content production
Partner with video editors to break down long-form content into social-ready segments
Track engagement suggest optimizations and stay updated on platform trends
Ideal Candidate:
2 years managing social media for a media company podcast thought brand or content-driven platform (not just product or service marketing)
Deep understanding of the nuances audiences and best practices of each major platform
Strong writing and visual storytelling skills can distill a big idea into a short quote post or thread
Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator)
Light video editing skills and familiarity with tools like CapCut Reels editor or Shorts creation platforms
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced content-heavy environment
Interest in or familiarity with finance news business or center-right media is a plus
