Job Description
Location: Waxahachie TX 75165
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
- Conduct detailed patient assessments and identify priorities for care.
- Develop implement evaluate and modify care plans to meet patient goals.
- Foster therapeutic relationships with patients and families maintaining professionalism and compassion.
- Advocate for patient values in care planning and conflict resolution.
- Educate patients families and staff to promote informed health decisions.
- Assess and document educational needs continuously.
- Collaborate with healthcare team and community resources to coordinate care.
- Delegate responsibilities appropriately and follow up to ensure care quality.
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving techniques in patient care and team collaboration.
- Maintain safety effectiveness and efficiency in care delivery.
- Strong understanding of nursing practices standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of state nursing laws hospital policies and clinical guidelines.
- Familiarity with medical terminology disease prevention medications and side effects.
- Commitment to ethical nursing practice and patient confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse individuals.
- Critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office EMR email scheduling systems etc.).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification-required within 30 days of start.
- Recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) RN experience is required.
