Job Description

Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to patients with daily living activities under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. This role is essential in ensuring the comfort safety and well-being of patients in a clinical or residential care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming toileting feeding and mobility.

  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature pulse respiration and blood pressure.

  • Report any changes in patients conditions or behaviors to nursing staff promptly.

  • Help patients move safely in and out of beds wheelchairs and examination tables.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.

  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.

  • Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.

  • Document care provided in accordance with facility policies and regulations.

  • Assist with medical equipment and supplies as directed by licensed nursing staff.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid CNA certification in state/region.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required based on facility).

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

  • Physical stamina to lift move and assist patients as needed.

Work Environment:

  • May work in hospitals nursing homes assisted living facilities or home care settings.

  • Shifts may include evenings weekends and holidays.
